DiPaola Council confirm the Minutes of the Council meeting held on June 27, 2024.

receive the deputation from Irene Ford.

receive the correspondence from Sarah Casey, Vice President, TROY Toastmasters and Joshua Wang, President, TROY Toastmasters dated September 5, 2024 and recognize October 2024 as Toastmasters Month in York Region.

receive the memorandum dated September 17, 2024 from the Commissioner of Public Works and refer it to consideration of Item H.2.

adopt the recommendations in the Minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting held on September 5, 2024.

adopt the following recommendations in the report dated August 19, 2024 from the Commissioner of Public Works, as amended by the memorandum dated September 17, 2024 from the Commissioner of Public Works: Council approve revisions to speed limits on Regional roads listed in Table 1. Council approve the updated Establishing Speed Limits on Regional Roads Policy in Appendix F, as amended by removing the following provision: “Council has authorized the Commissioner of Public Works to submit bylaws prepared by the Regional Solicitor and General Counsel for Council approval to amend speed limits in accordance with this Policy without a preceding report to Council.” The Regional Clerk circulate this report to the Clerks of Town of Georgina, Township of King, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and Chief of York Regional Police. The Regional Solicitor and General Counsel prepare the necessary bylaws to adopt speed limit details in Table 1.

approve and enact the following bylaws:

approve the 2025 Council and Committee Meeting Calendar.

confirm the private minutes of the Council meeting held on June 27, 2024.

adopt the confidential recommendations in the private report from the Acting Commissioner of Community and Health Services dated September 16, 2024, with the appointment to be made public at the appropriate time.

enact Bylaw No. 2024-48 to confirm the proceedings of this meeting of Council held on September 19, 2024.

adjourn the meeting at 9:17 a.m.
